It is a great honor for me to be awarded such a prestigious prize. First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Tong for their generosity and kind donations over the past decade. With the donations, students of schools under the Hong Kong Taoist Association are encouraged to strive for excellence in their studies. To me, the Scholarship is not only a form of financial support, it is also recognition for my hard work and reflection of my school life in these two years.

My heartfelt thanks also go to all the teachers for their love and consideration. Without their patience and devotion to teaching, I would not have the same courage and strength to face the AL examination, which is known as a tremendous challenge for those who have experienced it. Moreover, they have enlightened me with their optimism and positive attitude, while guiding me towards a more mature perspective on different events which will be invaluable for the rest of my life.

Besides, all of my friends and peers deserve to be acknowledged. Throughout these two years, there were numerous memorable moments, which had offered me strength to face the tough and stressful examination. All the laughter, tears, and bitterness we shared encouraged me to head for our ultimate goal – to receive tertiary education.

More importantly, I would like to express my greatest gratitude to my family. Having their care and tolerance, I was able to focus on my studies with comparatively less pressure and was given the confidence to achieve a fair result in the AL examination.

The university life marks a new milestone in my life and new challenges will be encountered in the coming years. Yet, it is my conviction that with all the support from the teachers and friends and the positive attitude I have developed in the past two years, I am prepared to overcome these challenges and have a fruitful university life.

Finally, I would like to thank all the members of YY2. Owing to all your support and your simply being there with me, my secondary school life was completed in the most honorable way. I will always cherish all the moments I had with you and wish you all the best. Thank you.
