We are thrilled to share some good news from our English Department! Angela Cheung On Ki from class 3E has achieved outstanding success in the “Inspiring the World: The China Story” English Writing Contest co-organized by the HKSAR Security Bureau and the Future Diplomats Academy. Out of 500 excellent entries, Angela captured both the prestigious Gold Award and the Best Creative Writer Award!
 
Angela’s winning essay is a brilliantly imaginative piece where the legendary Tang Dynasty poet, Du Fu, mysteriously enters a modern classroom. Through a moving conversation about the Great Wall, Angela beautifully illustrates how this ancient structure has transformed from a symbol of warfare into a monument of peace.
 
Reflecting on her creative process, Angela shared that her most memorable moment was connecting our school’s cross-curricular Great Wall project to her narrative. This journey taught her a profound lesson: as youth, we aren't just learning history—we are responsible for preserving and carrying our rich Chinese history and culture forward with pride.
