On the 6th of February 2025, ten students took part in the Animal Photopoetry Creative Challenge organized by the Education Bureau at Ocean Park. During this inspiring event, they explored the vibrant habitats and diverse wildlife, capturing stunning photographs of animals like playful sea lions and adorable penguins. Each student combined their images with heartfelt English poetry with reference to their photos to promote 3 of the 12 priority values: Diligence, Filial Piety and Perseverance.

Our students had a rewarding time, learning how to apply their learnt poetic and photographic skills, how to work under time pressure, and how to support and encourage one another to achieve a mutual goal alongside the other 790 participants! We are also honored to be one of the schools to be interviewed by the Education Bureau. We look forward to the next cross-curricular activity, where our students can further explore their creativity and continue to develop important skills together!

Throughout the competition, I learnt how to recreate the values of diligence, filial piety and perseverance through poetry and photography. This is such a valuable experience for me !

This competition is novel. I have never joined this kind of competition before, and I think that is a good chance for me to get closer to nature. I love it.

I think this activity did broaden my horizon and deepen my understanding of the values. Moreover, by learning the habitats of different creatures, I have also learnt the importance of protecting the environment!
